Frequently Asked Questions

Why are there no prices listed on your website?
Because our everyday prices are typically 5% below other stores' "Sale" prices, our manufacturers have requested that we do not list our prices online. Also, many manufacturers have "minimum advertised price" policies that prevent us from posting our everyday discounted pricing. We do post typical price ranges for our products as a general reference that you may review by clicking the following link: Pricing. You may also call 703-518-4663 or email the store for prices of specific items at and we will gladly assist you.

PLEASE do not ask for pricing if you live outside of Virginia, Maryland or Washington, D.C. as we do not deliver outside these areas, visit our Manufacturer’s Links to find a local dealer in your area.

Do you ever have Sales?
From time to time our manufacturers have promotions on specific items so that we may offer them to our customers at a discount. We will advertise manufacturer sales and post them on our Facebook page. Otherwise, we offer our best price to every customer everyday. We are confident we have the best price on all our furniture everyday even when compared to other stores’ “sale” prices. We also have a price match policy: if you find the exact same item in new condition for less (including all applicable taxes and delivery) let us know and we will do our best to match it.

Do you deliver?
We offer local, full service, in-home delivery to Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and close-by counties of Maryland for $75. Our in-home delivery includes bringing all items into the room of your choice, unpacking, set up and any assembly if needed. More than 1 flight of stairs and heavy items may incur an additional fee. We offer full service, in-home delivery to other areas of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware for $95-$300 depending on distance.

What are your hours?
Monday – Saturday: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Sunday: Noon to 5 pm.

Where can I park?
In addition to street parking, there is a metered city parking lot adjacent to our building on King Street just east of Patrick Street behind Misha’s Coffee Shop. The meters take credit and debit cards as well as coins. There is also a Public Parking Garage just around the corner at 117 North Alfred St.

Is there a Metro Station near the store?
The King Street Metro Station is a 10 block walk (.6 of a mile) to our store. You may also board the FREE trolley at the King St. Metro for a short ride to our store. The King Street Trolley operates between the hours of 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m seven days a week and runs every 20 minutes up and down King Street from the Metro Station to the River. Exit at the Patrick and King Street Stop (4th stop). Our store faces North. For more information on the FREE trolley visit:

Why don’t you sell your furniture online?
We take great pride in providing an exceptional customer experience throughout the shopping process from the “just looking” stage through delivery. While it is convenient to purchase easily returned items online, we believe furniture, especially custom furniture, is best purchased locally where you can touch, see and feel. Below we have listed some of the reasons.
1. You can’t sit on a “virtual” sofa.
Comfort is personal and extremely important when purchasing investment items like furniture that you will use every day and keep for many years. Comfort, construction quality, texture and color cannot be assessed accurately on a computer monitor.
2. Face-to-face encounters promote better communication and smarter purchases.
Frequently we find that customers do not really know how to articulate what they are looking for. Customers struggling to make a room more functional may ask for a specific item because they are unaware that other options exist. At Creative Classics we help you determine the best furniture for your desired function by asking questions about your room and what you are trying to achieve. We don’t just “sell you” what you are asking for, we find out what you need. We also assist with design, color selection and provide detailed answers to any questions you may have. Our personal, customer-centered assistance cannot be duplicated via email or telephone.
3. We do not contract out our deliveries to a third party.
Our delivery crew works for us.In fact, one of the crew is Scott’s son! They are well paid and receive health insurance and vacation benefits. They know our furniture, can demonstrate, assemble if needed, and answer questions about our products. They are careful in your home and are highly experienced at successfully delivering our furniture into tight spaces. Contracted crews around the country simply cannot duplicate this level of care and service.
4. If you don’t choose to purchase locally, eventually you will have no choice.
Many customers visit furniture showrooms to try things out and then look for the lowest price online when ready to purchase. We understand and encourage our customers to research and verify that we offer the best value in fine furniture available. We are confident we have the best price on all our furniture everyday even when compared to other stores’ “sale” prices. We also have a price match policy. Please keep in mind, however, that there is value and cost associated with service before, during and after the sale. There is great value and cost associated with being able to touch, try and see before you buy. If you use your local retailer as a showroom and provider of information and then buy elsewhere, you are ultimately doing yourself a disservice: eventually you will have nowhere to go.
Please visit your local retailer.
